Scripture: It is a trustworthy statement, deserving full acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, among whom I am foremost of all. - 1 Timothy 1:15
Kid's Activity Idea: Since tomorrow is Palm Sunday, what if everyone on Sunday April 5 in the morning, (or sometime today) puts a branch on their door or on a window, to celebrate Palm Sunday?
It could be any kind of green branch you can find in or around your yard. It can be real, artificial, drawn, or cut out. This would help, despite the social distancing, to be connected as we enter into the Holiest of Weeks.
We may be physically isolated, but not separated. We are united as the body of Christ. We are the Church.
Parents: give your kids a simple explanation of what Palm Sunday is (something like: Palm Sunday marks the day Jesus arrived in Jerusalem on a donkey, just a few days before he was betrayed by his friend Judas Iscariot, one of the 12 apostles, put on trial and sentenced to death by crucifixion. The day is called ‘Palm Sunday’ because the people of Jerusalem threw palm leaves to the floor as a greeting when he arrived.) Then ask them to help you find some greenery to put on your door or window!
