Building Project Update for 5/26/2026
This week is an interesting update. There was a lot of work onsite last week and the same is expected this week. To keep it simple, it's just more of the same. Concrete crew, masons, plumbers, and electricians are getting everything ready for the slab pour. At the end of last week and through this week it has been a battle for the crews to avoid the rain and work around the mud. They are doing a great job but many of their tasks require a dry surface and materials so those items have to be delayed. Also, just moving around a muddy project site slows everything down. If you watch the timelapse video below you can see how the site becomes more challenging as the week progresses.
While the work continues as fast as possible, I would suspect our slab pour date is going to be pushed back a few days. The weather this week will tell us how far that may be. This isn't anything to be concerned about since we have accounted for weather delays. The biggest issues is everyone is eager to go, go, go and the weather isn't playing nice. Everything happens in God's timing. Issues with rain solve the problems with dust and eases concerns related to drought. God knows what we need and when we need it. :)
