Building Project Update for 6/2/2026
Upcoming Activity
BUILDING "A": Due to the large size of the slab and the large amount of rain the pour of the slab had to be rescheduled. It is tentatively scheduled for June 12th. Everyone on the site is working so hard to make it all happen but when you are slipping and slogging in the mud everything just slows down.
Even with the delay progress is still impressive. As I write this the crews are "throwing stone". This is a thick layer of small stone that is placed over the ground and in-slab utilities. In the coming days the layer of stone will be completely covered with a thick plastic moisture barrier, a layer of steel mesh reinforcement is installed over the moisture barrier, and finally the concrete is poured and finished.
BUILDING B: While work on Building A has been delayed the crews have shifted to Building B, which is significantly smaller and easy to manage. If you look at the pictures at the bottom of the page you will see that all the prep work for the slab has been completed and the slab pour is scheduled for tomorrow (6/3/2026). If you come to prayer service it should be in place and by early next week it will be cured.
The masons have been hard at work on the firewall. It is well over half done and work continues. Minor delays have occurred because the masons cannot place mortar in the rain.
Starting June 16th crews will begin placing a construction entrance that leads directly into the sanctuary from the back of the building. Construction of this entrance is expected to take up to eight weeks. Once it is completed we will begin using it (for about eight weeks) while the pad is being graded and poured for Building C.
Contractors have been looking at the area this entrance will be places. There is going to be some additional concrete pad, steps, sidewalk, etc. placed to make the entrance more functional and attractive.
The Discipleship Building security and access systems are now installed and working perfectly. This was another test run of the system we plan to install for the new building. We are now fully confident that we are installing a solution that will serve the church with excellence for years to come.
New UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) units have been installed in the main network rack. This is a significant milestone in the low voltage part of the project. This means that all of the major network/security core systems have been installed or significantly upgraded. For the remainder of the project we are adding cameras, phones, wall panel, card readers, etc. but the main systems are online and serving the church now.
