Building Project Update for 3/31/2026
Upcoming Activity
Retaining wall foundations are being poured while even more are foundations are being dug out and rebar structures being built. Much of this work is directly against the building in preparation for building A while the upcoming work is around the pad for building B.
Footers are slowly processing as most of the attention is being put on the retaining wall foundations so that they have plenty of time to cure before the retaining walls are built and dirt backfilled.
Major work continues in the retention pond. The structures have been placed and concrete is expected to be poured this week. Once that has been completed the dam at the back will be completed.
Final work can start once the sewer line is moved in the next week or two (highly dependent on the weather).
This pond is far more intricate than you might expect. We have had engineers working on this thing for weeks. Once completed it will serve us well as it is the single location to store rainwater on the entire campus!
For the north parking lot we expect Duke Power crews onsite by the end of the week. The hope is that by the end of next week we will have lighting in the north lot complete so we can move onto landscaping and signage.
Two new systems have been installed. The new core security system equipment and a new Network Area Storage (NAS) device. Additionally work continues on setting up and deploying the new VoIP phone system.
The new security system will allow us to switch over our existing security system to the new gear while also adding the capacity we will need for upgrades in the areas that are being renovated as well as the completely new components that we will integrate with the building project.
The NAS will allow us to ensure documentation and files critical to the church are not only stored in a local location that makes it easy to share and collaborate but it will also be backed-up to the cloud in case something catastrophic occurs the church will still have access to its files.
