What is Elizabeth's House?

Elizabeth’s House is a chapter of My Village Ministries, united by one mission—to keep families together through biblical hospitality and compassionate care. We come alongside pregnant mothers, single moms, and families with children, offering meaningful support that brings stability and hope.

Through family support and connection, we work to prevent abuse, neglect, and unnecessary foster care placements—helping reduce and heal the effects of childhood trauma. Our goal is simple: to preserve families and provide holistic care that reflects the heart of Jesus.

About Elizabeth's House

About Elizabeth's House

Elizabeth’s House, a ministry of Discovery Church, supports pregnant mothers, single moms, and families with children by providing stability and hope during times of crisis.  We primarily offer short-term child hosting, connecting families in need with loving host families until their situation improves.

Beyond hosting, we provide ongoing support through mentoring and parent training for families who have participated in our program. Recognizing the social isolation many face, we strive to build a caring church community that offers consistent support to both families in crisis and our host families, ensuring they have the encouragement and resources needed to thrive.

Who Elizabeth's House Supports

Who Elizabeth's House Supports

Elizabeth’s House supports families facing challenging seasons, with a special focus on pregnant and single moms who may lack family support or have experienced rejection from their loved ones. We understand that even without close family connections, these mothers still need care, encouragement, and practical help during difficult times.

Our ministry offers a community of support that steps in when family isn’t available, providing hope, stability, and lasting care. Through safe child hosting, personalized coaching, and a welcoming Christ-centered community, Elizabeth’s House walks alongside these families to help them thrive and find strength amid their struggles.

Why Is This Important

Why Is This Important

Supporting pregnant and single moms without strong family connections is essential because these families face unique challenges and are at risk of isolation and hardship. Elizabeth’s House offers the stability and care they need to navigate difficult situations with hope and confidence.

Our support goes beyond immediate needs by surrounding families with a loving, Christ-centered community that provides consistent encouragement. This approach helps prevent long-term damage, keeps families together, and fosters resilience, enabling them to thrive even after crisis.

Our Mission

We exist to come alongside families in crisis and provide community support to help them get to the other side. We do this by placing children with host families for a short period of time, providing coaching and training for parents, and welcoming those who are isolated into a Christ-centered community.

How Can I Get Involved?

Informational Meetings

Elizabeth’s House offers drop-in informational meetings throughout the year to help you learn how you can get involved and make a difference. These sessions are designed to show the various ways you can serve with us - whether through hosting, mentoring, coaching, or other support roles.

There’s no obligation - just an opportunity to gather information and ask questions. While we don’t have our next meeting scheduled yet, one will be coming soon. Stay tuned and check back here for updates on how you can join this caring community.  In the meantime - please check out the Elizabeth's House model.

Your prayers make a real difference in sustaining this important work. By joining us, you become part of a community that supports families in crisis through faith and intentional care.

Make a real difference today by joining one of our Bridge Ministry Partners who are already serving women and children in our community with love and care. Whether your strengths lie in mentoring, organizing, teaching, providing transportation, or caring for little ones, there is a meaningful way for you to contribute.

These volunteer opportunities let you start living out the mission of Elizabeth’s House now, while gaining valuable experience and connections for when our doors officially open. Your involvement helps build a strong foundation of support that will transform lives.
