Building Project Update for 6/9/2026

BUILDING "A": The final prep work is in-progress and we are on schedule for a pour this Friday (6/12/2026).  The crews will be onsite and getting ready at 3am with concrete flowing around 4am.  This is a huge milestone for us and I am personally excited to see it happening.  When people see it on Sunday it really will make the entire campus look different.

Once you see the slab, try to find the bolts sticking up out of it.  That is where the steel beams will be secured and supported.  If you follow the lines of those bolts you will start to see the outlines of where the big load-bearing walls are going to be.

BUILDING B: The slab for building B has been poured.  There is a ribbon between the kitchen opening and the masonry wall that is waiting for some very specific supports that have been ordered.  Once the supports are installed the last ribbon of concrete will be poured and building B's slab will be completed.

The mason's are waiting for some final "shop drawings" from engineering.  They want to make sure to integrate the firewall exactly right between the old structure and the new structure so they have requested further clarity and confirmation before connecting their wall to the existing building.

We are on schedule to start work on the rear sanctuary construction entrance and remodeling the Kid's expansion.  This work will begin next Monday (6/15/2026) and is expected to take approximately eight weeks.

The Kid's ministry has already started moving and reorganizing in preparation for this work in their space.  during this time you will notice kid classes meeting in the Discipleship Building and possibly outdoors.  Everyone is working together to make it work.  :)

More of the original handicap lot is going to be taken up.  This is in preparation for the placement of large water lines.  These lines will supply water to the building and the new fire hydrants that will be placed around the building.

Drew and I also meet with Spectrum to explore the possibility of having a fiber optic connection for the church.  As we grow each physical space us using more and more network resources and we are pushing the existing connection to the outside world pretty hard already.  Our conversation is preliminary but stay tuned for more information.

Electricians will be placing new conduit from the outside transformer and through the existing building over to the connection with building A.  You probably won't notice that work with all of the other construction activities around it...but it is happening and it is important.

This week included upgrading three exterior cameras.  There was also some work on the software side that included developing how we organize the large number of users we have in the system.

Masonry contractor continued with the masonry firewall.  They are awaiting
updated shop drawings before completing the wall.  (5 men)

The concrete contractor continued with perimeter forms and began installing the stone base for slab in buildings “A” and “B”.  (12 men).

The electrical contractor helped guide the stone installation.  (1 man)

About 1/4 inch of rain fell as work was being completed.  No significant impact on
work.

Concrete contractor continued with slab prep for building “B”.   They also
continued to install the stone base for the slab on building “A”.  They will complete the stone installation when the electrician finishes his underslab roughin. ( 9 men).

The special inspections inspector dropped by to look at progress and will return on Wednesday morning to complete the inspection.

The concrete contractor poured slab “B” and continued to prep slab “A”.
They installed the stone bed, poly, and wire mesh over half of the slab.  They will
complete when the electricians complete the underslab rough-in on the rest of the slab. (12 men)

The electricians continued with the underslab rough-in for slab “A” and called in an inspection for tomorrow.  (2 men)

 The concrete contractor continued with perimeter forms for slab “A”.  (4 men)

Electricians continued with the underslab rough-in.  Inspection passed.
