Building Project Update for 7/08/2026

The entrance has been roughed in and the exterior door installed.  Per the schedule, work has halted waiting on electricians to run overhead conduit and plumbers to run large water pipes.

With the floors ground smooth it was time to start demolition.  Framing was completed.

Electrical work is well underway and the walls have passed the first electrical inspection.

The HVAC crew has reconfigured the rigid ducting in the kid's area and is currently holding for inspection.  

This area is moving on schedule.

Water supply pipes have been installed across the back of the existing building and down the original kid's hallway. 

Storm water piping is being installed outside.

Steel continues going up at a rapid pace.  Major elements of Building A are installed.  Crews are focusing on roof of remaining details.  Also, they are preparing to start erecting Building B.

There isn't much to say...but if you watch the timelapse video you can see that there is a ton of work being completed.

J-hook paths have been completed.

The primary focus has been cleaning up old work that was in the ceilings.  We had a large amount of cable that was out of current compliance.  This means we had to reposition and rerun many of the existing lines so that they no longer physically touch any electrical, HVAC, or plumbing components.

We are going to begin installing the security cameras in the active renovation area so that when the kid's return to that space it is ready for them.

Over 1” of rain fell over the weekend but did not affect construction.

The steel contractor continued with steel erection on building “A”.  (8 men).

The masonry contractor returned to finish work on the masonry firewall.  (4 men)

The electrical contractor installed the conduit in the transformer and continued with the rough-in of
the children’s area.  (7 men)

The mechanical contractor began renovation of the ductwork in the children's area.  (4 men)

Sprinkler contractor continued with the new sprinkler main supplying new sanctuary and classroom addition. (2 men).

The utility contractor finished installing the waterline and tested the new fire hydrant.  (2 men)

Special inspections were performed on steel connections.  Special inspections
were performed on steel framing connections.  ( 1 man)

The framing contractor framed partition walls in the children’s space.  (3 men) 

Safety and Alignment meeting. (33 persons heard the gospel message)

The steel erectors continued with the erection of building “A”.  (12 men)

The masonry contractor continued with the construction of the firewall.  (5 men)

The electrical and mechanical contractors continued with their rough-in in the children’s area.  (8 men)

The sprinkler contractor finished installing the new main for the fire sprinkler system through the existing
building.  (2 men)

The steel erectors continued with the erection of building “A”.  They began installing roof insulation.  (13 men)

The masonry contractor continued with the construction of the firewall.  (5 men)

The electrical contractor continued with their rough-in in the children’s area.  (2 men)

Special inspections were performed on the firewall.

The steel contractor continued with the roof insulation on building “A”.  (8 men).

Electrical and mechanical contractors continued with rough-ins for the children’s area.  (6 men)

The masonry contractor prepped a section of the firewall for grout.

Special inspections are scheduled for Monday morning, with the grout pour following.
