Building Project Update for 8/12/2026

Doors and door hardware have been installed and awaiting glass.  The exterior door that was removed in classroom 121 has been replaced with a window.

Drywall and painting contractors have went through the area several times touching things up as they go.

The area is expected to be handed over late this week or early next week when we receive the certificate of occupancy from the inspector.  Once we have that we can move kids back in that space.

The interior work continues without too much of note.  The big story is outside the new exterior double doors.  As you can see from the pictures, demolition has started and the area is being resculpted into a proper entrance and patio area.

As a reminder, the driving force behind much of this work was the need for ADA compliance for a main entrance.

As the space takes shape you can begin to see how neat this space will be at the end of the project.  Once the youth have the sanctuary space and the temporary wall is removed they will have a really cool outdoor space and entrance directly connected with their sanctuary area.

So much going on in this area it is hard to keep track of.

Crews are applying the sheathing (purple) to the exterior walls of the building.  So we aren't a silver building anymore.  :)

The roof of the patio area is being installed.

The most visible changes are the concrete and steel that has been placed in the transition area between buildings.  This space will eventually be lobby between the two buildings.

Interior work is far enough along that the electricians are hanging temp. lighting.  Much of the insulation has been placed and so you can start to see layers of the exterior walls building up from the inside and outside.

On the far end of the building, the framers have started putting up the walls for the interior walls.  The space you see in the pictures is going to be the "production hallway" that will have the logistics room for STAR teams, the audio and video suites for mixing and production work, the green room, and a large storage space.

At this point it may be difficult to see in the pictures but the steel work for the stadium seating has started going in.  Obviously this platform will have seating on it but under it we will have a security/medical room, the chapel/special needs room, storage for the Information Desk, and the Cafe Production area.

The roof of building B has been put in place.  The metal structure and shell continue being placed on the exterior as contractors wrap up work on building A.

The sidewalk in front of the building was installed.

All of the available low voltage work in the kid's area has been installed and tested.

Security panels were installed in the Roseman House and Discipleship Building.

.675” of rain fell over the weekend but did not affect work.

The steel erection company continued to install siding for the front porch area.  They also began erecting the steel for building “B”.  (6 men)

The electrical contractor continued to work on the rough-in for Building “ A”.  (3 men)

The door contractor hung all doors located in the children’s space.  The concrete contractor began prepping lobby are for pouring.  They dug out for footing along the firewall for columns. (4 men)

Painting contractor began final coat on walls and door frames in children’s area.  (4 men)

Steel erectors continued setting steel for building “B” while continuing to install siding on building “A”.  They also began installing insulation in the walls of building “A”.  (8 men)

Electrical contractor continued with above-ceiling rough-in on building “A”.  (3 men)

The fire sprinkler contractor delivered materials for building “A” and began their layout.  (2 men)

The concrete contractor continued prepping lobby area for pouring.  They prepped footing along the firewall for columns and installed rebar.  (4 men)

The painting contractor finished the final coats on the walls and door
frames.  (4 men)

Steel erectors continued building “B,” setting steel and installing siding and insulation for building “A”.  They completed welding missing tabs and new floor plate extension for building “B”.  (9 men)

Electricians continued with above-ceiling rough-in on building “A”.  (3 men)

Fire sprinkler contractor continued with sprinkler installation in building “A”.  (2 men)

Framing contractor began wall layout for framing on building “A”.  (4 men)

The concrete contractor continued prepping lobby area for pouring.  They
prepped footing along the firewall for columns and installed rebar.  (4 men)

Steel erection continued with wall panels on building “A” and steel for
building “B”.  (7 men)

Electrical contractor completed trimout of children’s area.  (3 men)

The concrete contractor continued to prep lobby area for pouring concrete.  (4 men)

Flooring contractor installed flooring in the new foyer and installed cove base in the children’s area.  (2 men)

Steel erection continued on buildings “A” and “B”.  (6 men)

The concrete contractor prepped and poured slab for building “A” lobby section and installed anchor rods.  (4 men)

Electricians continued with their above ceiling rough in.
