Scott Brown grew up in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and later lived in Pennsylvania for 14 years before moving to Hickory in 2025. He came to faith in Christ at the age of 15 and has been actively serving in the church ever since. Over the years, Scott has ministered in a variety of roles including small group leader, sound technician, worship team member, Children’s Pastor, Youth Pastor, and Senior Pastor. In 2021, he received his Master’s Degree in Biblical Studies from Master’s International University. Scott and his wife, Nicole, have been married for 25 years and have two children, Selah (24) and Joseph (21). Outside of ministry, Scott enjoys working out, reading, listening to Audible, going on walks, cooking, and sitting on the porch. He’s also a fan of pizza, Star Wars, and Brandon Sanderson books.
In his role as Next Gen (Generation) Pastor, Scotts desire for Discovery Church is to help fulfill its mission of making and maturing disciples - especially by helping students (children, high schoolers, and young adults) learn to trust and follow Jesus.
